IBA TechnicianLocation: City of London (Hybrid 3 days in the office)
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 + Benefits (dependent on experience)

A well-established and growing specialist insurance broker is seeking an IBA Technician to join its finance function. Operating within the London Market, the business has built a strong reputation for delivering tailored insurance solutions and is continuing to invest in its finance and operations teams.

Your new role
Reporting into the IBA Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate processing and reconciliation of client money and insurer transactions in line with FCA and CASS regulations.
Key responsibilities will include:

• Processing and allocating cash receipts and payments across multiple insurer and client accounts
• Performing daily, weekly and monthly bank and client money reconciliations
• Investigating and resolving unreconciled items, aged balances and outstanding cash allocations
• Producing insurer statements and supporting settlement processes
• Liaising with brokers, underwriters, insurers and internal stakeholders to resolve account queries
• Ensuring all client money is handled in accordance with FCA and CASS requirements
• Supporting month-end activities and maintaining accurate financial records
• Assisting with process improvement initiatives and strengthening financial controls

What you'll need to succeed

• Minimum of 2 years' experience working within an IBA Technician or Insurance Accounts role
• Strong understanding of FCA and CASS regulations
• Experience processing client money, cash allocations and reconciliations
• Working knowledge of London Market insurance processes
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately within a high-volume environment
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proficiency in Excel and insurance accounting systems
