Job Description

Anderson Knight is delighted to be partnering with a well-established client in Ayrshire to recruit an experienced HR Manager.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands on HR professional who enjoys operating in a fast paced environment and thrives on managing complex employee relations matters. Whilst the role has a strong ER focus, it also offers broad exposure across the full employee lifecycle and wider HR activities.

The successful candidate will act as a trusted partner to managers across the business, providing practical and commercially focused HR support while ensuring best practice and compliance are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a wide range of complex employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, performance and capability matters.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to managers on employment law, policies and HR best practice.
  • Support and coach managers to improve people management capabilities and drive consistency across the business.
  • Oversee and support the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through to employee development and exit processes.
  • Review, develop and implement HR policies and procedures in line with legislative changes and business requirements.
  • Support organisational change initiatives, restructures and consultation processes where required.
  • Identify HR trends and provide recommendations to support continuous improvement and operational effectiveness.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business to support engagement and performance.
  • Ensure HR records, documentation and reporting are maintained accurately and in line with GDPR requirements.

About You

  • Previous experience operating at HR Manager level or in a senior HR generalist capacity.
  • Strong employee relations experience with the ability to manage complex casework independently.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Experience working in a fast paced, operational environment.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive and pragmatic approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities whilst delivering a high quality HR service.
  • CIPD qualification preferred.
