Job Description
HR Business Partner (Maternity Contract) Overview 
We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to provide professional HR support to managers and employees across the organisation. Reporting to the Head of HR, the successful candidate will work closely with business leaders to deliver people-focused solutions, support employee engagement, and contribute to the achievement of organisational objectives.
Key Responsibilities HR Business Partnering- Partner with managers to provide practical HR advice and support across the employee lifecycle.
- Assist with workforce planning, talent management, succession planning, and organisational development activities.
- Support managers in implementing organisational change initiatives.
- Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, and employee engagement matters.
- Promote HR initiatives that support business objectives and improve organisational performance.
- Manage employee relations matters, including investigations, grievances, disciplinary, and capability processes.
- Coach and support managers on performance management, employee development, and attendance management.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, organisational policies, and HR procedures.
- Promote a positive working environment built on fairness, inclusion, and accountability.
- Work with Learning and Development to identify training needs and support employee development initiatives.
- Support employee engagement, wellbeing, diversity, inclusion, and retention programmes.
- Contribute to talent reviews and succession planning activities.
- Encourage a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Prepare and analyse HR reports and workforce data to support informed decision-making.
- Monitor key HR metrics and identify trends or opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in reviewing and developing HR policies, procedures, and processes to enhance efficiency and compliance.
- Keep up to date with changes in employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Build effective working relationships with managers, employees, and the wider HR team.
- Collaborate with Recruitment, Learning and Development, Payroll, and HR Operations to deliver consistent HR support.
- Participate in HR projects and organisational initiatives as required.
- Promote organisational values and contribute to a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Experience in an HR Business Partner, HR Advisor, or similar generalist HR role.
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation and employee relations practices.
- Experience supporting managers across a broad range of HR activities.
- Good understanding of performance management, employee engagement, and organisational development.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience within construction, engineering, manufacturing, or other project-based environments is desirable.
- Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline.
- CIPD qualification or working towards professional accreditation is desirable.
- Evidence of continued professional development.
