Overview

Your new company Hays are working with a well-established organisation in Telford to recruit a Temporary HR Administrator.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator or HR professional to join a busy and supportive HR team during a period of increased activity. This temporary position will suit a highly organised individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has strong attention to detail and is confident about managing a variety of administrative responsibilities.

What you'll do
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the HR function, ensuring employee records and HR processes are maintained accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain and update employee records and HR databases.
  • Support recruitment activities, including arranging interviews and preparing offer documentation.
  • Assist with onboarding and induction processes for new starters.
  • Process contractual changes and employee correspondence.
  • Manage absence, holiday and training records.
  • Support payroll administration by providing accurate employee information.
  • Respond to HR-related queries from employees and managers.
  • Prepare reports and HR documentation as required.
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR and confidentiality requirements.
  • Provide general administrative support across the HR department.
What you'll need to succeed
  • Previous experience in an HR Administration, Personnel Administration or similar administrative role.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • The ability to work with confidential information professionally and discreetly.
  • A proactive approach and the ability to prioritise a varied workload.
  • CIPD qualification or ongoing CIPD studies would be advantageous but are not essential.
