Overview 
Your new company Hays are working with a well-established organisation in Telford to recruit a Temporary HR Administrator.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator or HR professional to join a busy and supportive HR team during a period of increased activity. This temporary position will suit a highly organised individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has strong attention to detail and is confident about managing a variety of administrative responsibilities.
What you'll do- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the HR function, ensuring employee records and HR processes are maintained accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain and update employee records and HR databases.
- Support recruitment activities, including arranging interviews and preparing offer documentation.
- Assist with onboarding and induction processes for new starters.
- Process contractual changes and employee correspondence.
- Manage absence, holiday and training records.
- Support payroll administration by providing accurate employee information.
- Respond to HR-related queries from employees and managers.
- Prepare reports and HR documentation as required.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR and confidentiality requirements.
- Provide general administrative support across the HR department.
- Previous experience in an HR Administration, Personnel Administration or similar administrative role.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- The ability to work with confidential information professionally and discreetly.
- A proactive approach and the ability to prioritise a varied workload.
- CIPD qualification or ongoing CIPD studies would be advantageous but are not essential.
- Competitive hourly rate of £14-£16 per hour, depending on experience.
- Weekly pay through Hays.
