Associate - Health & Social Care Law

BCL Legal are working with a prestigious Irish law firm that is looking to appoint an ambitious Associate to their award winning Health Services team. This firm is widely regarded as a market leader in healthcare law, boasting one of the most established and specialised practices in the country.

The team has spent decades at the forefront of the sector, advising a high profile client base including public and private hospitals, statutory bodies, and key service providers.

The Role

• Handle complex files from inception to completion, including strategy development and drafting detailed pleadings and legal correspondence.
• Represent clients in the District Court on a daily basis and attend various hearings and negotiations.
• Provide expert guidance to public bodies on legislative interpretation and their statutory responsibilities.
• Review intricate medical, social work, and professional records to assess the merits of a case.

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor in Ireland.
• At least 1 year of PQE in a relevant practice area, with a demonstrable interest in healthcare or child protection law.
• Proven experience in a courtroom setting, with the ability to present cases calmly and logically.
• Strong drafting, research, and analytical skills are essential, alongside a meticulous eye for detail.
