Position: The University of Edinburgh - Edinburgh Research Office / Corporate Services Group

Location: Edinburgh, Hybrid

Salary: £63,606 to £78,469 per annum

Hours: Full Time, 35 hours per week

Contract Type: Permanent, Open-ended

Opportunity

We are seeking an accomplished leader to steer our Research Contracts Team ensuring excellence in delivery of our research contracting services, supporting the University's research ambitions.

This post is full-time (35 hours per week); however, we are open to considering flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.

Steer the Research Contracts Team, ensuring excellence in delivery of research contracting services and supporting the University's research ambitions.

Qualifications and Attributes

• An experienced leader of large teams providing frontline services, ideally in a higher education research environment.
• Demonstrated experience with increasing responsibilities and having a recognised legal or research management qualification.
• Substantial experience in research contracting in the UK and overseas.
• Demonstrated success in service improvement initiatives, resource planning and workload management.
• A highly proactive and creative thinker, skilled in motivating diverse teams and collaborating effectively in large organisations.
