Head of Innovation (AI/Automation)

Cheltenham £65,000-£70,000 + bonus Hybrid

A growing technology consultancy is looking for a Head of Innovation to lead and scale its AI and automation offering.

This is a senior, hands-on leadership role where you'll shape AI and automation solutions for customers, guide delivery, and help grow an established innovation function into a major part of the business. You'll work closely with customers, developers and external partners to turn emerging technology into practical, commercial outcomes.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the AI and automation proposition across customers

• Shape and deliver practical AI-driven solutions

• Act as senior technical authority while staying close to delivery

• Support and guide internal developers and specialist partners

• Play a key role in growing innovation-led revenue

• Engage directly with customers, explaining AI value and use cases

About you:

• Strong technical background in AI, automation and software engineering

• Experience delivering real-world automation or AI solutions

• Comfortable balancing strategy, hands-on input and customer interaction

• Excited by building and owning an innovation capability
