Senior SAP MDG-M Technofunctional Consultant (m/f/d) - remote

Join our global team in driving large-scale S/4HANA transformations for a leading international group. We are looking for an experienced and passionate SAP MDG-M specialist to design and deliver innovative Master Data Governance solutions that shape the digital backbone of global enterprises.

In this role, you will collaborate with diverse, cross-cultural teams worldwide, turning complex business requirements into reliable, scalable, and future-ready technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance SAP MDG applications (data models, user interfaces, workflows) using SAP standard frameworks.
• Technical design of approval processes for material creation, change, and deletion (single and mass), including BRF+ decision table setup for corresponding workflows.
• Create BRF+ functions for derivation and validation rules; prepare development specifications for custom validations and derivations using cross-entity BAdIs.
• Extend the data model, including modifications to UI FPM configuration to accommodate the extensions.
• Transfer ERP customizing from the existing ERP system to MDG (creation of BC sets and transports, manual corrections for MM, SD, QM, PM, PP modules).
• Set up replication of material master data through ALE services and DRF, including partner profile configuration, distribution models, IDoc serialization, monitoring, reprocessing, error handling, and analysis; manage monitoring via SOA Manager.
• Migrate materials and all related master records (characteristics and classes, forecasting profiles, MRP profiles, profit centers, warranty masters, etc.) using LSMW, IDoc, and Migration Cockpit tools in S/4HANA (LTMC, LTMOM).
• De-dublicate, validate and consolidate material master records applying SAP CMP.
• Conduct system testing, validation, and deployment activities.
• Provide technical guidance, training, and ongoing support to stakeholders.
• Stay ahead of the curve by exploring emerging technologies in MDG and AI to continuously improve solutions.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of SAP experience with at least 4 years in SAP MDG-M (Technofunctional).
• Proven track record of 2+ end-to-end MDG implementations in Material Master with PLM Teamcenter or calagogue integration.
• In-depth knowledge of SAP MDG-M architecture, data & process modelling, and configuration.
• Hands-on expertise in MDG Rule-based workflows, BRF+, DQM, and Responsibility Management.
• Solid understanding of data replication (SOA Services, ALE/IDOCs via DRF+) and key mapping; experience with eQube and SAP AIF is desirable.
• Experience in SAP UI5/Fiori configuration.
• Experience in data migration and data quality tools, preferably experience with SAP Consolidation and Mass Processing (CMP).
• Excellent problem-solving mindset, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Industry knowledge in manufacturing and regulatory compliance for data governance.
