Are you a strategic technology leader with a passion for operational excellence and digital transformation and looking to be part of our Senior Leadership Team? We're looking for aHead of Infrastructure and Operationsto lead the delivery of robust, secure, and scalable digital services across Anglian Water.
This is a high-impact role, responsible for ensuring the stability, reliability, and performance of our infrastructure and operations. You'll drive innovation, automation, and continuous improvement across hybrid environments, while shaping the future of service management and digital engagement.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the strategic direction and day-to-day digital operations, including budget costs, of infrastructure and service management
- Drive operational excellence of digital and data services, owning key operational measures and ensuring all SLAs are achieved
- Ensure operational stability, resilience, service predictability, and performance across digital and data platforms
- Oversee capacity planning, disaster recovery, patching, and the management of technical debt
- Develop and embed best-practice service management processes (ITIL-aligned)
- Manage outsourced service providers and ensure delivery to agreed SLAs
- Collaborate with Product, Technology, and Cyber Security teams to align on delivery and risk
- Foster a high-performing, inclusive team culture and support career development
- Champion health, safety, and wellbeing through our "Safer Every Day" initiative
We're looking for someone with:
- Extensive experience in infrastructure architecture, hybrid cloud environments, and service operations
- Proven leadership in managing complex IT and OT environments and driving operational excellence
- Strong knowledge of service management best practices ideally within an Agile DevOps environment
- Experience in vendor management, contract governance, and strategic sourcing
- A collaborative leader with strong influencing, communication, and change management skills with the ability to build strong partnerships across all stakeholder groups
- Commercially astute with a strategic mindset and a passion for innovation
- Experience with Lean, DevOps, or similar methodologies
- Expertise in disaster recovery, business continuity, and cybersecurity alignment
- A track record of delivering digital optimisation and service excellence
