Our client, a prominent player in the defence sector particularly within submarine solutions, is currently seeking a Principal Engineer with expertise in Electrical Engineering for Power Systems Analysis. This role is an excellent opportunity to contribute to critical projects in Barrow and Filton, with a flexible hybrid working arrangement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading electrical engineering projects focusing on power systems analysis
• Providing technical oversight and guidance on power systems integration
• Conducting detailed power systems studies and simulations
• Developing and implementing engineering solutions to complex power systems challenges
• Mentoring junior engineers and fostering a collaborative team environment
• Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure project success
• Preparing and presenting technical reports and documentation

Job Requirements:

• Experience in electrical engineering with a focus on power systems analysis
• Strong knowledge of power systems design and integration
• Proficiency in power systems analysis software and tools
• Understanding of industry regulations and standards within the defence sector
• Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
• Ability to work effectively in both team-oriented and independent settings
• Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related field
