About the roleReporting into the CFO, you'll take ownership of developing and enhancing FP&A capability within a business as it continues to evolve and invest in its financial infrastructure.
You'll play a central role in strengthening financial visibility, building on existing reporting, enhancing forecasting, and delivering high quality insights that support stronger commercial and strategic decision making across the organisation.
This role offers the opportunity to make an immediate impact while shaping the longer term direction of FP&A. You'll refine and elevate reporting and forecasting frameworks, creating a robust foundation from which to deliver deeper insight and meaningful business partnering.
As the function develops, you'll become increasingly influential in driving performance, working closely with senior stakeholders to guide decisions, challenge thinking, and unlock value across the business.
You'll also have the opportunity to influence future systems and reporting capability, supporting ERP implementation and advancing the use of Power BI to deliver clearer, more accessible, and forward looking insight.
Alongside this, you'll lead and develop a small FP&A team, with scope to build capability and shape the future structure as the business continues to grow.
What you'll be doing- Enhancing management reporting and performance visibility, providing clear insight into margins and key business drivers
- Leading budgeting and rolling forecasting (including 9+3 cycles), improving accuracy, confidence, and forward looking visibility
- Developing and evolving Power BI dashboards and reporting tools to enable better, faster access to data and insight
- Delivering customer profitability analysis and supporting smarter commercial decision making around pricing, investment, and cost
- Partnering with senior stakeholders to influence decisions, challenge assumptions, and drive improved business performance
- Driving continuous improvement across finance processes, data integrity, and automation
- Supporting the development of future finance systems, including ERP implementation
- Leading, coaching, and developing an FP&A analyst, with opportunity to shape and grow the team over time
We're looking for a commercially aware FP&A professional who combines technical strength with the ability to influence stakeholders.
- Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent)
- Strong FP&A experience, including budgeting and forecasting
- Proven ability to build reporting in low data environments
- Confident working both strategically and hands on
- Experience partnering with non finance stakeholders
- Comfortable working in developing or changing environments
- Experience developing high performing teams
- Power BI and ERP exposure (desirable)
- Manufacturing or engineering sector understanding (advantageous)
