Job Description

Interim FP&A Transformation Lead

Location: Bristol (Hybrid - 2 days onsite, 3 from home)Duration: 3-6 Month ContractStart: Immediate / ASAP

Rate: Competitive rate (Inside IR35)

The Opportunity

A large complex organisation that is currently modernising its finance function, investing in improved systems, reporting and planning capability. As part of this journey, an experienced FP&A professional is required on an interim basis to help stabilise and redesign core reporting processes while the permanent hire is recruited.

The existing reporting and planning processes were built around a previous business structure and no longer reflect how the organisation operates today. This role will play a key part in modernising reporting, improving management information and helping establish a more scalable FP&A function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Redesign month-end close and reporting into a single, standardised suite.
  • Align reporting with the current business structure and Group requirements.
  • Partner with IT on AWS-based reporting solutions and develop self-service reporting.
  • Work hands-on with complex financial data, improving processes and outputs for senior stakeholders.
  • Ensure consistent reporting and interpretation across the division.
  • Support and potentially line manage the FP&A team.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong FP&A and financial reporting experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience working with complex financial data from multiple sources.
  • Experience improving or transforming reporting and finance processes.
  • Comfortable partnering with IT and business stakeholders.
  • A hands-on, pragmatic approach, able to deliver improvements quickly while maintaining accuracy and control.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
