Head of Design Technology - Secondary School

Location: Grimsby & Skegness
Salary: MPS/UPS + TLR (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2026
Contract Type: Permanent Full-time

GSL Education is seeking a motivated and innovative Head of Design Technology ( ideally with Graphics and Engineering experience if possible) for a secondary school in Grimsby & Skegness starting in September 2026. This permanent role is ideal for an experienced teacher ready to lead a successful department and inspire students through engaging practical learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the Design Technology department across KS3 and KS4
• Deliver engaging and practical DT lessons
• Monitor student progress and departmental performance
• Support curriculum planning and development
• Mentor and support teaching staff within the department
• Promote a positive learning environment and high expectations

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching Design Technology in secondary schools
• Leadership experience or the ambition to progress into leadership
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• A commitment to raising standards and student achievement
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
