Strengthen the governance that underpins capability, compliance and confidence

As our Governance and Assurance Officer, you'll play a vital role in ensuring Cadent's governance, assurance and competency frameworks are robust, effective and consistently applied. This isn't just about checking data or following process - it's about providing assurance that our people have the right skills, training and capability to perform safely and effectively.

This is a permanent role based at Ansty Business Park, Coventry, where you'll support the design, implementation and ongoing maintenance of governance frameworks across learning, training compliance and skills matrices. You'll work closely with HR colleagues, training teams and wider stakeholders to monitor compliance, undertake assurance activity and provide clear, evidence based insight that supports informed decision making.

It's a great opportunity for someone with a strong governance, assurance or compliance background who enjoys working with data, influencing stakeholders and driving continuous improvement.

Why you'll love this role:
  • Governance & Assurance Delivery - Implement and maintain governance frameworks that support training compliance and workforce competency.
  • Assurance & Audit Activity - Undertake assurance reviews, audits and gap analyses to validate compliance, data accuracy and process effectiveness.
  • Training & Skills Matrix Management - Maintain organisational and departmental skills matrices, ensuring alignment to role requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Insight & Reporting - Analyse training and competency data to identify trends, risks and capability gaps, producing clear assurance reports and dashboards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement - Work with managers and subject matter experts to interpret requirements, provide guidance and challenge where standards are not met.
  • Learning Product Governance - Support learning product review cycles, ensuring accountability and timeliness across stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement - Identify opportunities to streamline governance processes, improve data quality and enhance the learner experience.
What you'll bring:
  • Governance or Assurance Experience - Experience working in governance, assurance, compliance, audit or quality driven environments.
  • Strong Analytical Skills - Confidence analysing complex data sets and translating insight into clear recommendations and actions.
  • Reporting Capability - Experience producing assurance reports, dashboards and presentations to support leadership decision making.
  • Stakeholder Confidence - Ability to engage, influence and constructively challenge stakeholders at all levels.
  • Attention to Detail - High standard of accuracy, organisation and data integrity.
  • Systems & Data Awareness - Comfort working with learning systems, data tools and reporting platforms.
  • Improvement Mindset - Proactive approach to identifying risks, improving processes and raising standards.

Qualifications: No specific qualification required. Relevant experience in governance, assurance or compliance is essential. Experience with LMS platforms, training frameworks or assurance/audit qualifications is desirable.

Interviews will be held 3rd and 5th June and will be in person at our head office at Ansty Business Park, Coventry.
