Overview
Reporting to the Store Design & VM Director, the Global Project Manager - Store Architecture & VM will play a crucial role within the Stella McCartney Architecture & VM Department, overseeing all store projects related to Visual Merchandising and Architecture across our global network, including APAC, Japan, America, and EMEA.
Your Responsibilities:
- Coordinate creative, architectural, and construction activities for all projects (touch-ups, renovations, relocations, window campaigns, pop-ups, & in-store activations).
- Serve as the primary contact for all building construction works.
- Select suppliers and manage tenders for General Contractors and Millworks.
- Partner with Legal for contract preparation and compliance standards.
- Coordinate external contributors and consultants (Landlord, architects, contractors, engineers, light designers, etc.).
- Monitor budgets, project timelines, and quality during all project phases.
- Conduct site visits, prepare reports, and ensure store construction aligns with brand standards.
- Manage the end-to-end store planning process from initial design to opening.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Facilities, Legal, IT, Retail Operations) to meet business objectives.
- Develop and oversee project timelines and budgets.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with local and international building codes and safety standards.
- Work with H&S teams to meet safety requirements.
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Identify, mitigate, and escalate project risks and issues.
- Continuously seek process improvements for store architecture & VM activities.
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Lead and develop a project coordinator.
- Present project updates to upper management in collaboration with Store Design and VM Director.
Your Qualifications:
- Degree in Architecture, Design, or Engineering preferred.
- Proven experience in a similar project management role.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong project management skills for large, complex, global projects.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Attention to detail and proficiency in MS Office and project management software.
- Management experience.
- Experience with Visual Merchandising projects is a plus.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar software.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
