Job Description

Job Title: Geoenvironmental EngineerLocation: BathSalary: £28,000 - £32,000

A new opportunity has opened for a Geoenvironmental Engineer to join a well-established environmental and geotechnical consultancy based in Bath. This role offers the chance to work on a wide range of contaminated land and ground investigation projects, with a strong focus on professional development and technical progression.

The successful Geoenvironmental Engineer will be involved in both site-based and office-based work, supporting the delivery of environmental assessments and remediation projects across residential, commercial, and infrastructure schemes.

You will have the opportunity to work for an established consultancy who have a large presence in the civil, structural and environmental industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out Phase 1 desk studies and Phase 2 site investigations
  • Soil and groundwater sampling and environmental monitoring
  • Factual and interpretative report writing
  • Contaminated land risk assessments and remediation strategies
  • Supervising site works and liaising with contractors
  • Supporting project delivery from tender through to completion

Requirements

  • Degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering Geology, or a related subject
  • Experience within a geoenvironmental or contaminated land role
  • Understanding of contaminated land legislation and risk assessment
  • Strong report writing and communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence (preferred)
