Are you an experienced Maths Teacher or Lecturer passionate about helping learners develop confidence in mathematics?
The RoleWorking within a college environment, you will:
- Deliver engaging GCSE Maths and Essential Skills Maths lessons to learners aged 16+
- Support students working towards achieving essential Maths qualifications for employment, apprenticeships and further study
- Prepare learners for GCSE Maths examinations and assessments
- Differentiate learning to support a wide range of abilities and learning needs
- Track learner progress and provide constructive feedback
- Support and motivate learners who may have previously struggled with Maths
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Work collaboratively with curriculum teams to drive learner achievement and success
- A Degree in Mathematics or a related subject, or substantial Maths teaching experience
- Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, QTS, QTLS or equivalent) is desirable
- Experience delivering GCSE Maths and/or Essential Skills Maths
- Strong understanding of current Maths curriculum requirements
- Excellent classroom management and learner engagement skills
- A passion for improving learner outcomes and confidence in Maths
- Experience supporting learners with ALN/SEN is advantageous
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
