GCSE English Teacher - Full-time, long-term temporary role starting as soon as possible

This is an exciting opportunity to join a school where pupils with SEMH needs are supported in a nurturing and inclusive environment. Staff work collaboratively to ensure pupils receive personalised support and access to a curriculum that enables academic progress and personal growth.

Duties as GCSE English Teacher:

Plan and deliver engaging English lessons tailored to pupils with SEMH needs
Differentiate teaching strategies to meet individual learning requirements
Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages participation
Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and targeted interventions
Work closely with support staff and SENCO to implement personalised learning plans
Promote emotional resilience and positive behaviour through consistent strategies
Uphold safeguarding standards and ensure the welfare of all pupils

Ideal GCSE English Teacher:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching English at secondary level
Strong understanding of SEMH needs and effective strategies for engagement
Ability to build positive relationships and inspire confidence in pupils
Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
Patience, resilience, and a proactive approach to supporting diverse needs
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
