The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Worldwide Financial Services team is seeking an experienced Financial Services Specialist (Capital Markets) to join our dynamic team and promote AWS adoption within the Financial Services industry in Australia. As a Capital Markets Specialist, you will engage with industry executives and influencers to drive cloud computing adoption and build relationships with financial institutions, from FinTech startups to major global financial organizations.
Strategically, the FSI Specialist aims to understand the needs of Capital Markets clients and industry trends. They develop business cases, analyze project goals, create implementation plans, and coordinate with AWS teams and stakeholders to achieve objectives while addressing industry-specific challenges.
Tactically, the Specialist plans and leads business development initiatives, leveraging their understanding of customer needs, solutions, vendors, and system integrators. They manage risks, resolve issues, escalate as necessary, and drive initiatives to successful completion.

Minimum Qualifications- 7+ years of experience in developing, negotiating, and executing business agreements
- 7+ years of professional or military experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience influencing leadership decisions at the organizational level
- Experience as a founder, executive, practice leader, or business unit owner in related segments
- Experience selling to Fortune 1000 or Global 2000 organizations
