Summary:
We are seeking a Frontend Developer with experience interacting with internally developed APIs and platforms in a mixed cloud (Azure + AWS) environment for a Government agency. The ideal candidate will work across the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business objectives. This role requires proficiency in both Front End technologies and UX/UI design principles, strong problem-solving skills, and familiarity with Agile methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop responsive, accessible, and high-quality user interfaces using Next.js, React, and TypeScript.
Collaborate with design and product teams to create intuitive user experiences.
Develop user experiences backed by internal APIs and search indexes.
Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality software.
Maintain and update existing applications, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements.
Write technical documentation and assist in defining project requirements.
Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing to streamline deployment processes.
Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices in Front End development.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Frontend Developer or similar role.
Strong knowledge of Front End technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React, Next.js.
Familiarity with databases and Search Indexes: Elasticsearch and SQL-like databases.
Knowledge of version control systems (Git).
Understanding of cloud platforms and deployment strategies.
Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Desirable Skills and Competencies:
Experience with PyGeoAPI
Experience with Jira/Confluence
