The Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Temporary Site Manager for a short-term contract of up to 6 weeks. Assisting the Site Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of a prestigious development using traditional construction techniques, ensuring plots are delivered on time, within budget, and to high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Take direction from the No.1 Site Manager for all on-site activities, including coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and other site staff.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Monitor project progress and report updates to the build manager and site manager.
  • Maintain high standards of quality control and workmanship.
  • Resolve any on-site issues promptly and effectively.
  • Liaise with customers, local authorities, and other stakeholders as required.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Site Manager in residential construction, preferably with a housebuilder.
  • Valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.
  • CSCS card and First Aid at Work qualification.Strong knowledge of construction processes, health and safety regulations, and building standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
