Freelance Siemens Opcenter Consultant (MOM/MES)

For a customer in East Flanders, I am searching for a freelance Siemens Opcenter consultant to support their internal development team during the rollout of a new MES solution.

The consultant will provide hands-on expertise in Siemens Opcenter Execution, help integrate it with existing industry-specific manufacturing tools and contribute to custom development work using C#/.NET.

The role requires close collaboration with technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure the MES environment aligns with operational needs, integrates smoothly into the IT landscape, and delivers process improvements across production lines.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation and configuration of Siemens Opcenter MES platform
• Assist with integration into existing manufacturing and legacy systems
• Develop and customize MES features using C#/.NET
• Collaborate with internal developers and system owners to align MES with operational requirements
• Participate in debugging, testing, and validation of MES functionalities
• Create technical documentation and support knowledge transfer to internal teams
• Provide advisory input on MES/MOM best practices and architecture

Profile

• Strong experience with Siemens Opcenter Execution
• Proven track record in MES/MOM environments, ideally within discrete or complex manufacturing
• Proficiency in C#/.NET for customization and development tasks
• Familiarity with ISA-95 or similar manufacturing standards
• Ability to work in complex, niche manufacturing IT landscapes
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
