Freelance Group Fitness Instructors - Pendle Leisure Trust

Pendle Leisure Trust is recruiting self-employed group fitness instructors to expand its class timetable across three leisure centres in Nelson, Colne and Barnoldswick. The core work is delivering classes across disciplines such as HIIT, Pilates, indoor cycling and older adult fitness, and encouraging customers to return. The freelance role covers regular weekly classes plus holiday and sickness cover, and suits both experienced and newly qualified instructors. Applicants can also propose a class concept the trust does not yet run.

What the job involves

• Deliver regular weekly group fitness classes at the trust's centres
• Provide holiday and sickness cover for classes
• Teach across disciplines such as HIIT Step, Pilates and Yoga, indoor cycling and functional fitness
• Create an engaging, welcoming class environment that encourages customers to return
• Propose and develop new classes or concepts for the programme

What's required Qualifications

• Qualified group fitness instructor

Skills & knowledge

• Motivated, reliable approach to delivering engaging classes

Checks & eligibility

• Police and/or other record check (Disclosure)

Nice to have

• Teaching experience in one or more listed class types
• Experience in HIIT Step, Pilates and Yoga, Indoor Cycling, Strength & Conditioning, Circuits, Aerobics, Functional Fitness or older adult fitness
• A new or specialist class concept the trust does not yet offer
