Salaried GP

Salaried GP post at Nightingale Medical Centre, a permanent role within the practice of Dr Laliwala and Partners. The work centres on a mixed caseload of face-to-face and telephone consultations, triage, and managing acute and long-term conditions, with prescribing and referrals. The practice is also a training practice currently hosting a GP trainee, and the post sits within a multidisciplinary team. Both experienced and newly qualified GPs are considered, and Skilled Worker visa sponsorship is available.

What the job involves

• Deliver high-quality medical care to the practice population under the GMS contract
• Manage a varied caseload through face-to-face and telephone consultations and triage
• Assess and manage acute conditions and long-term conditions
• Prescribe generically in line with local and national guidance
• Process referrals, repeat and acute prescription requests and other administration promptly
• Take a rotational turn at telephone triage and duty doctor work
• Carry out home visits where necessary
• Keep accurate clinical records in line with good practice and guidance
• Share the practice workload equally and work collaboratively with the team
• Take delegated responsibility for an area of QOF and contribute to practice meetings, clinical governance, training, finance and HR
• Support ANPs, practice nurses and HCAs with queries, and support medical student training
• Complete appraisal and revalidation, and commit to continuing professional development
