Job Description

This role is offered on a hybrid basis, allowing you to work from home three days a week.

Purpose of the role:

The purpose of this role is to support the Head of Finance and the Financial Planning and Analysis team in our journey towards a best-in-class reporting and modelling platform, aiming for a self-service platform in Workday Adaptive. The FP&A Systems Manager is an expert user capable of configuring and maintaining the modelling solution, skilled in data mapping and coding, and able to develop user reporting templates, deliver super-user and end-user training, and create comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures manuals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce BAU monthly and Board reporting packs from Workday Adaptive
  • Support the Head of Finance and Finance Business Partners with financial modelling and scenario planning, ensuring models are robust and accurate
  • Review and improve coding and data mapping to enhance reporting functions
  • Assist in planning and creating a roadmap for a self-service end-user delivery
  • Participate actively in team events and solution finding
  • Develop user-friendly templates in Workday Adaptive for end-users in collaboration with Finance Business Partners
  • Support and train Finance Business Partners and stakeholders on Workday Adaptive
  • Act as interim Domain Administrator for Workday Adaptive and train the incoming FP&A Lead
  • Liaise with the Finance Systems Lead on system maintenance and upgrades
  • Handle Workday Adaptive queries and ad hoc data requests

Person Specification:

  • Expert super-user on Workday Adaptive Insight
  • Fully qualified accountant with relevant post-qualification experience and a strong understanding of financial processes and systems
  • Knowledge of Charities SORP, statutory accounting regulations, VAT (including exempt, partial exemption, and reverse charges), PAYE, and other payroll taxes, and Gift Aid
  • Experience producing monthly and board reports
  • Strong financial modelling and scenario planning skills, ensuring accuracy and robustness
  • Experience working effectively in cross-functional teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a solution-oriented mindset
  • Experience in finance systems maintenance and upgrades, collaborating with system leads
  • Familiarity with Workday Adaptive enhancements and best practices
