Role Overview

The R&PA team forms part of the CRH Group Finance function as a high performing team and a valued business partner. This role is a financial analyst position on the R&PA Reporting sub-team. The team is responsible for monthly Board and management reporting, financial planning and analysis, forecast and annual Budget, and preparation of quarterly briefing materials for external results announcements.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Provide critical analysis for the monthly Board and management reporting processes, reviewing results submitted by the Divisions.
• Ownership and review of the preliminary and final budget outputs for the Group.
• Review and analyse financial reporting notes and disclosures as part of the Group financial consolidation process.
• Identify and resolve reporting issues that arise, working closely with Divisional Finance and other teams across Group Finance.
• Assist in system developments required in Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) for reporting purposes, liaising with the Hyperion support team.
• Support the implementation of EPM for Reporting, actively involved in UAT, parallel run activities and Go Live readiness review.
• Focus on continuous improvements in processes and outputs to add value and drive business results.
• Build strong relationships with Divisional Finance teams on new reporting requirements and analysis.
• Provide high quality ad hoc analysis to senior management as requested.

Education and Experience

• Qualified accountant with up to 2 years PQE.
• Strong academic background, professional record and qualification (ACA, CFA or equivalent).
• Experience working on high performing teams, ideally across different geographies.
• Good systems capabilities, interest in financial reporting systems; experience with HFM is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Exposure to Group reporting and processes.
