Job Description
Octagon Professionals is looking for a Project Financial Administrative Assistant to support the Program Management Support Office in Harwell. The Business Control Support Service consists of administrative support for internal costs, financial analytics, and manpower-related tasks.
Please note that the successful candidate will be employed by Octagon Professionals.
The tasks include the following:
- Support to Timesheets submission, approval, and reporting;
- Support for travel reimbursement claims;
- Support the implementation of Purchase Orders or contract-related objects and procure to pay business control-related objects;
- Support to Service Level Agreements;
- Support to the workforce database management;
- Support to cost checking for IT equipment/Software;
- Support internal cost monitoring;
- Support internal audits and quality management system audit preparation;
- Support the preparation of documents for the closure of various programs;
- Act as a focal point related to user problems with ESA-p, ESA-star, and EROS;
- Support to cost center missions;
- Support to Dashboards in Power BI, covering technical support, visualization, and general user training.
Job Requirements/Competencies:
- Minimum education - Bachelor's degree in business subjects. Professional certifications in the management domain are an asset;
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience;
- Proficiency in the use of MS Office Software, Power BI, and Business Objects;
- Demonstrated experience in the space sector is an advantage;
- High capacity to interact and communicate with international teams, technical and business domains;
- Service delivery orientation;
- Effective time management;
- Highly proficient in communication in English (written and oral);
- Ability to act independently, as well as in a team;
- Forward thinking and proactive approach.
