Job Description
Finance Technical Officer SwitzerlandNRC Geneva is looking for an experienced Finance Technical Officer with solid knowledge of Swiss accounting standards and rules to ensures and compliant day-to-day accounting, support grant financial and fiscal reporting for the office in Geneva in full respect of Swiss law, Swiss GAAP, donor and internal financial you will do:Working closely with the NRC Geneva Head of Support and the Finance Manager, your main roles and responsibilities will be:Perform X and posting of financial transactions in the accounting software (Unit4).Process accounts payable: control supplier invoices, execute payments (domestic and ensure correct cost all including and submission of returns, of accounts, and ensuring compliance with Swiss monthly bank and balance-sheet monthly and annual closing processes and contribute to the of accounts under Swiss GAAP. Ensure proper electronic and physical filing of all supporting in the of internal and external audits (Swiss certified auditor, donor audits).Support the financial cycle of institutional grants (budget monitoring, expenditure eligibility checks, and submission of financial reports and payments requests to donors).Provide financial and analysis to grant managers and alert on variances or other tasks as by the line you are curious and would like to learn more about this opportunity, please see here for the full job you will bring:We are looking for someone with a Bachelor or Master degree in finance, accounting or business or equivalent, and minimum 4 years of experience in accounting/finance. In addition, you will have:Solid knowledge of Swiss accounting standards (Swiss GAAP RPC / FER) and rulesExcellent command of Excel and good knowledge of accounting softwareKnowledge of social-insurance system and/or payroll a strong advantageFluency in written and spoken English (written and spoken)Experience in grant financial management within the humanitarian sector a makes this position challenging and exciting opportunity with an team X the rights of people forced to flee;A permanent, full-time X NRC in need to be EU/EFTA citizens or have a valid work permit for Geneva, Switzerland in order to be eligible for this role);Salary and benefits according to NRC s salary scale and terms X .
