Job Description
Dynamite Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Finance Officer to join a charitable business based in Fareham on a 6-month fixed term contract. You will deliver accurate financial support across the organisation, including income processing, reconciliations and maintaining high-quality financial records. The role also supports housing-related finance activities such as rents and service charges, while providing clear information to managers and resolving queries.

The Finance Officer Role:
  • Maintain and reconcile rent and service charge records, ensuring accuracy at all times
  • Monitoring accounts, identifying arrears, overpayments and discrepancies
  • Carry out credit control activities including arrears reporting and repayment plans
  • Process financial transactions, journals and maintain supporting records and reconciliations
  • Prepare reports, dashboards and support KPI monitoring
  • Manage shared inbox and respond to queries, supporting managers with financial information
  • Assist with month-end, year-end and audit processes, providing wider team support
The Ideal Finance Officer Candidate:
  • Previous experience within a similar position
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles
  • Previous experience within a housing or local authority environment is advantageous
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Flexible, proactive and willing to support different departments as required
