Job Description
Dynamite Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Finance Officer to join a charitable business based in Fareham on a 6-month fixed term contract. You will deliver accurate financial support across the organisation, including income processing, reconciliations and maintaining high-quality financial records. The role also supports housing-related finance activities such as rents and service charges, while providing clear information to managers and resolving queries.
The Finance Officer Role:

The Finance Officer Role:
- Maintain and reconcile rent and service charge records, ensuring accuracy at all times
- Monitoring accounts, identifying arrears, overpayments and discrepancies
- Carry out credit control activities including arrears reporting and repayment plans
- Process financial transactions, journals and maintain supporting records and reconciliations
- Prepare reports, dashboards and support KPI monitoring
- Manage shared inbox and respond to queries, supporting managers with financial information
- Assist with month-end, year-end and audit processes, providing wider team support
- Previous experience within a similar position
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles
- Previous experience within a housing or local authority environment is advantageous
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Flexible, proactive and willing to support different departments as required
