Contract Senior Software Engineer (Backend)
Location: Hybrid- 1-2 days per week London
Type: Contract - 3 month initial term
Salary: £550-£600 per day

As Senior Software Engineer, Backend, you'll design, build, and maintain the core services and infrastructure that keep our product fast, scalable, and reliable. You'll be working closely with our Small team to ensure timelines are delivered.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and maintain high-performance back-end services and APIs for mobile and web apps.
• Architect low-latency pipelines to process sports events in real time.
• Ensure system reliability, scalability, and security across back-end infrastructure.
• Optimize database performance and data storage solutions.
• Implement multi-layered automated testing.
• Collaborate with frontend/mobile engineers to define and deliver robust API contracts.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and establish backend best practices.
• Work with product/design teams to turn requirements into elegant technical solutions.

What we're looking for

• 5+ years' back-end software development experience.
• Strong skills in TypeScript, AWS & C#,
• Experience with Python, Java, or Go (we use TypeScript and C#).
• Solid experience with AWS (or GCP) and cloud-native architectures.
