Job Description

Job Title: Technology Consultant/Analyst (Storage & Backup)
Possibility of Remote Work: Hybrid - 3 days/week WFO
Contract Duration: 1 year (extension possible based on performance)
Location: Belfast, UK

Clearance Requirement: Candidates must already hold valid BPSS or SC clearance.

Experience Required: 4+ years

Core Skills Required:

System Administration with expertise in:

Storage: Dell PowerMax, VPLEX, Isilon, eNAS, Cisco/Brocade SAN switch
Backup: EMC Data Domain, Networker, ECS
Operating Systems: VMware, Linux/RedHat

Role Responsibilities:

Installations, configurations, migrations, operational support, patching, and on-call support
Monitor storage systems (volumes, LUNs, disks, logs)
Manage Incident, Change, Problem Management, and Capacity Planning
Plan and execute Disaster Recovery activities
Perform backup management and health checks - monitor jobs, schedules, and logs to ensure successful backups
Conduct storage health checks and performance monitoring of storage arrays
Validate controller mirroring configuration status from console
Troubleshoot system and storage issues
