About the role

Facilities Assistant at Lanhydrock, part of the National Trust, responsible for maintaining the historic estate and ensuring a welcoming experience for visitors.

Hours: 526 hours per year (12 hours per week, mainly Tuesdays and Saturdays). Flexibility may be required.

Contract: Permanent

Salary: Annualised hours; salary paid in 12 equal instalments.

What it's like to work here

The Lanhydrock estate is a Grade I listed mansion set in a 25 acre garden with surrounding 910 acres of countryside. It welcomes around 500,000 visitors a year and 40,000 trail users.

You will help with the day to day presentation of the National Trust's buildings and outdoor spaces, performing cleaning, minor maintenance, unloading deliveries and stock replenishment.

Key duties include cleaning and maintaining visitor and staff toilets and kitchens, sweeping, litter picking (inside and outdoors), general maintenance tasks, and providing customer service to visitors and staff.
