EYFS Teacher

Oakfield House School, Salwick PR4 0YH

Contract: Permanent Term Time Only, Start: September 2026

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 8:30am - 4pm

Salary: Up to £42,500 per annum (not pro rata)

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated EYFS Teacher to join our vibrant, multi professional team. You'll play a key role in delivering high quality, child centred education that supports the physical, emotional and academic development of our young learners.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, deliver and teach engaging lessons for individuals and small groups, following our curriculum framework.
  • Support the delivery of nurture based programmes that build confidence, resilience and emotional wellbeing.
  • Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress, ensuring each child receives personalised support.
  • Create a stimulating, well organised and safe learning environment that inspires curiosity and independence.
  • Develop, implement and review Individual Education Plans and Behaviour Plans alongside the wider team.
  • Work collaboratively with LSAs, tutors, care staff and other professionals to ensure consistent, high quality provision.
  • Promote positive behaviour, helping children move from external regulation to developing their own self control.
  • Contribute to whole school development, safeguarding practice and effective communication with families and colleagues.
Qualifications and Experience
  • QTS/QTLS degree level or equivalent.
  • Preferably EYFS or early primary education experience.
  • Brings creativity, patience and a nurturing approach to the classroom.
  • Can confidently manage challenging behaviour using positive, supportive strategies.
  • Works well as part of a multi disciplinary team and values strong communication.
  • Understands the importance of safeguarding and child protection.
  • Is organised, proactive and able to adapt to the needs of individual learners.
