Salary: £130 - £150 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education is seeking a Ex-Military Outdoor Pursuits Mentor for a vibrant and inclusive secondary school with a strong focus on equality and equity. Responsibilities

• Plan and lead outdoor learning sessions, adventure activities, and team-building exercises
• Mentor and support young people in developing confidence, resilience, and personal skills
• Build positive relationships and act as a role model for pupils
• Promote inclusion, wellbeing, and safe participation in all activities
• Work closely with teaching and pastoral staff to support behaviour and engagement
• Maintain health, safety, and safeguarding standards at all times

Requirements

• Ex-military experience (Army, Navy, RAF or equivalent)
• Experience leading groups or mentoring young people
• Passion for outdoor education and adventure activities
• Strong communication, leadership, and behaviour management skills
• Ability to motivate and inspire young people
• Flexible, reliable, and proactive approach
• An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one with GSL Education
