We are seeking a motivated and professional Environmental Health Practitioner to join our Healthy Communities & Public Protection team.

You will play a key role in regulating, enforcing, and promoting Environmental Health functions across Carmarthenshire, delivering high quality Public Protection services to businesses and residents. This includes the application of relevant legislation and contributing to the Council's commitment to safe, healthy communities.

The role requires flexibility, including working outside normal office hours when required.

What you'll do
  • Carry out inspections, investigations and enforcement
  • Provide expert advice to businesses
  • Manage your own caseload and support service priorities
  • Work collaboratively across teams and partners
What we're looking for
  • Qualified Environmental Health Practitioner (BSc/MSc/Diploma)
  • Registered with EHRB / CIEH
  • Experience in Environmental Health
  • Strong communication and professional judgement skills
  • Level 3 Welsh - good level of conversational Welsh (reasonable support can be provided)
