Environment, Health and Safety Manager

HSE Manager Freelance Construction Manufacturer Netherlands

I'm working with a leading manufacturer of construction materials at their cement production site in the Netherlands. We're looking for an experienced HSE Manager to implement and enforce safety procedures during the production of building materials, to promote a safe working environment and strengthen safety culture within the business.

Location: Rotterdam, Netherlands

Duration: 12 months (with potential extension)

Start Date: January

Language: Dutch (English desirable)

Engagement: Freelance / Contract

Key Responsibilities:

• Enforce health and safety regulations across the site, specifically those specific to heavy industry.
• Train staff on safety when handling cement and other raw materials.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits.
• Investigate accidents and unsafe conditions and prepare incident reports to improve and strengthen safety culture across site.
• Emergency response planning

Essential:

• Proven experience as a HSE Manager within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of ISO Standards, specifically those associated with heavy lifting.
• Excellent leadership skills and ability to inspire colleagues towards a safer workplace.
• Dutch fluency

Desirable:

• Understanding of cement manufacturing processes
• Proficiency in HSE Software
• Ability to use data analytics to improve performance
• English language skills
