Enterprise Architect - Freelance

For a client in Limburg active in the infrastructure sector, we are looking for an experienced Enterprise Architect to support the strategic design and oversight of a new ERP implementation and the broader application landscape.

The client currently runs Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O for finance and is in the process of selecting a new industry-specific ERP solution to support their operations. The Enterprise Architect will play a critical role in defining the architecture blueprint, ensuring system interoperability, and guiding the IT landscape through this transformation.

Responsibilities:

• Define and maintain the enterprise architecture blueprint during the ERP transformation.
• Ensure alignment between business capabilities, data flows, applications, and infrastructure.
• Guide architectural decisions around system integration, data governance, and security.
• Support ERP selection from a technical and architectural standpoint.
• Work closely with solution architects, ERP consultants, and the program team.
• Provide governance and architectural assurance throughout the implementation lifecycle.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities for simplification or consolidation.

Profile:

• 5+ years of experience as an Enterprise Architect in mid- to large-scale transformation projects.
• Strong knowledge of ERP ecosystems, ideally including Microsoft Dynamics 365 and industry-specific platforms.
• Solid understanding of architecture principles (TOGAF or similar).
• Experience with integration strategies, APIs, data architecture, and cloud/hybrid setups.
• Dutch speaking
