A fantastic opportunity has opened in Cardiff for an Engineering Geologist to join a well-established multi-disciplinary consultancy specialising in geotechnical and geoenvironmental services.

This consultancy works across a wide range of sectors including residential, commercial, infrastructure and redevelopment projects, offering excellent exposure to both site and office-based technical work.

The Role

As an Engineering Geologist, you will be involved in delivering a variety of ground investigation and contaminated land projects from start to finish. You will gain hands-on site experience alongside developing your reporting and technical skills in the office.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with the design and supervision of ground investigations
  • Soil and rock logging to current standards
  • Collecting and organising site data
  • Producing Phase 1 and Phase 2 reports
  • Assisting with geotechnical and geoenvironmental interpretative reports
  • Preparing risk assessments and validation reports

You will work closely with senior engineers and consultants, gaining valuable mentorship and technical development within a collaborative environment.

Requirements

To be considered, you should:

  • Hold a degree in Engineering Geology, Geology, or Geotechnical Engineering
  • Have experience in ground investigation and report writing
  • Be confident working both on site and in the office
  • Live within a commutable distance of Cardiff
  • Hold a full UK driving licence
