Engagement Adviser

Overview

Salary £28,142 - £32,061 per annum. Permanent, full time, 37 hours per week. Virtual School, Employment Support team.

International sponsorship - this role is not open to international sponsorship.

Location

Flexible across Lancashire with focus on central and south. Hybrid location: County Hall, Preston, PR1 8RE, GB.

Responsibilities

• Support Lancashire's care-experienced young people aged 16-18 to take steps towards re engaging with education, employment or training (EET).
• Deliver high quality one to one advice sessions to young people in the specified client group.
• Deliver training around employability skills to groups of young people.
• Provide knowledge of local labour market information across Lancashire to support young people effectively.
• Work with a wide range of internal and external partners and support the team of Employment Officers.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children from vulnerable backgrounds.
• Proven experience managing a caseload and knowledge of the needs of children from care.
• Knowledge of local labour market information across Lancashire.

Additional Requirements and Information

• Must provide a car for use in connection with duties and be insured for business use. Candidates who cannot drive due to disability may still be considered.
• The post is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2013). If successful, candidates will be required to obtain a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) disclosure.
