Employment Solicitor / Legal Executive (with Practising Rights)

Are you an experienced Employment Solicitor or Legal Executive with practising rights? We are looking for a motivated professional to join a dynamic Employment team, managing a varied caseload and providing expert advice and representation to clients.

Location:

Pontypool - hybrid and flexible working options available.

What You'll Do:

• Manage a diverse caseload of employment law matters, including:
• Unfair and wrongful dismissal claims
• Discrimination and Equality Act issues
• Redundancy, restructuring, and TUPE transfers
• Employment Tribunal proceedings
• Drafting and negotiating settlement agreements
• Deliver clear, pragmatic advice to clients at every stage
• Liaise with trade unions and maintain strong working relationships with union representatives
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards
• Support, mentor, and develop junior team members
• Represent the team at union conferences and networking events

What We're Looking For:

• Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with practising rights (2+ years PQE)
• Proven experience in employment litigation and advisory work
• Excellent client care, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, high-performing team environment

Desirable:

• Experience working with trade unions
• Membership of the Employment Lawyers Association (ELA)
