Position Type: Full-time, Permanent

About Our Client

We are partnering with a fast-growing Construction company based in the heart of the City of London. Known for delivering high-profile projects, our client is expanding their international footprint and is now seeking an experienced EMEA Payroll Specialist to join their finance team. This is a brilliant opportunity for a payroll professional looking to take full ownership of a regional function in a stable, booming sector.

The Role

On behalf of our client, we are looking for an EMEA Payroll Specialist to oversee and manage the end-to-end payroll operations across multiple European jurisdictions. The successful candidate will be the primary point of contact for external payroll bureaus, with a heavy emphasis on Dutch and Nordic payroll frameworks.

This is a 100% in-office role (5 days a week) in their central London headquarters, offering great visibility across senior management and close collaboration with the wider finance team.

Key Responsibilities
  • EMEA Payroll Delivery: Oversee the accurate and timely processing of monthly payrolls across various European entities, with specific ownership of the Netherlands and Nordic countries (Norway, Denmark, Finland).
  • Vendor Management: Act as the main liaison with international, outsourced payroll providers, ensuring they meet agreed SLAs and local compliance standards.
  • Compliance & Tax Oversight: Stay up-to-date of changing local statutory regulations, tax codes, social security, and labor laws across the EMEA region to ensure absolute compliance.
  • Management Reporting: Prepare, analyse, and present monthly payroll variance reports, headcount data, and cost analyses to senior management.
  • Query Resolution: Act as the subject matter expert for all internal and external queries regarding regional deductions, tax codes, and international benefits.
Candidate Profile
  • Proven EMEA Experience: Solid background in international payroll, ideally within a fast-paced or project-driven environment (Construction, Engineering, or Logistics is highly desirable but not essential).
  • Dutch & Nordic Expertise: Essential, hands on understanding of Dutch payroll compliance and Nordic payroll systems/regulations.
  • Vendor & Bureau Management: Strong track record of managing and holding external, third party global payroll vendors accountable.
  • Analytical Skills: High proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs) with the ability to translate complex payroll data into clear management reports.
