The Role:

This is a 12-month contract role within our Saab Seaeye Underwater Robotics Business Unit in Fareham.

As part of the Electronics team, you will create design solutions for electronic and electrical products in underwater vehicles, aligning with the company's business needs through innovation, creativity, and professionalism.

You may be required to lead projects, coordinating activities across Engineering, Purchasing, Operations, Sales, and Logistics departments.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and develop new electronic products.
2. Work with novel designs, assessing and managing acceptable risks.
3. Manage full lifecycle design and development, including change management, from concept to end of life.
4. Design mixed-signal electronics.
5. Apply board layout principles.
6. Work with interface protocols such as I2C, SPI, RS485, CAN, and Ethernet.
7. Ensure designs meet LVD/EMC compliance standards.
8. Develop requirements specifications and test procedures.
9. Conduct system-level integration and testing.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related engineering discipline, or extensive professional experience.
