As a field services company specialising in solar energy systems, our mission is to maximise system uptime and performance for our clients - from residential customers to large-scale solar farms.
As our company continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to oversee our electrical operations and act as the technical lead for compliance, certification, and quality across our solar PV portfolio.
The Role
Reporting to the Field Operations Manager, the Electrical Qualified Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of all electrical works across the business, ensuring they are completed safely, compliantly, and to the highest technical standards.
You will act as the primary point of contact for NAPIT and MCS accreditation, ensuring all works meet regulatory and certification requirements, and that appropriate documentation and sign-off processes are followed.
This role is critical in ensuring electrical compliance, maintaining accreditation standards, and supporting the safe and efficient delivery of solar PV installations and maintenance works across both domestic and commercial properties.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all electrical works across the portfolio, ensuring safe and compliant delivery.
Supervise and support electrical engineers and subcontractors across multiple sites.
Act as the responsible person for electrical certification and sign-off of works.
Ensure all electrical works are carried out in accordance with current wiring regulations and industry standards.
Take ownership of NAPIT and MCS accreditation requirements, ensuring ongoing compliance.
Maintain and manage all certification processes, including testing, inspection, and documentation.
Conduct site audits, inspections, and quality checks to ensure high standards of workmanship.
Ensure all works are supported by appropriate documentation, including test certificates and compliance records.
Support the development and implementation of electrical standards, procedures, and best practices.
Provide technical guidance and support to field teams and internal stakeholders.
Investigate and resolve electrical issues, defects, or non-conformances.
Work closely with the Field Operations Manager and Programme Manager to ensure effective planning and delivery.
Support training and development of engineers to maintain competence and compliance.
Ensure all works are delivered in line with health and safety requirements and relevant regulations.
Provide regular reporting on compliance, quality, and performance.
This role profile outlines the key responsibilities of the position; however, it is not exhaustive, and the post holder may be required to undertake additional duties as reasonably requested by their line manager.
