About us Beacon is a primaryschool and nursery for children aged 3 to 11 years old with an Area ResourceBase for pupils from 4 years old. We hope that children will join us from theage of 3, when theycan enjoy our fantastic outdoor Nursery, and then thriveon the provision in each year group up to Year 6. It is at the end of Year 6that we say goodbye to our confident, well-rounded young people, as theymove on to secondary school equipped with skills which will take themsuccessfully forward into the next stage of their education and indeed,will take them on into their longer-term futures. We are incredibly proud that Beaconis the only accredited Talk for Writing Training Centre in the South West.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Supportthe delivery of high-quality teaching and learning within the classroom.

Work withindividual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning and promote progress.

Contributeto the creation of a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment.

Supportpupils' social, emotional and personal development.

Encouragepositive behaviour and help pupils to engage fully in learning activities.

Workcollaboratively with teachers and other staff to meet the needs of all.

Assistwith the preparation, organisation and maintenance of learning resources andclassroom environments.

Monitorand record pupil engagement and progress, providing feedback to teaching staffas appropriate.

Contributeto the wider life of the school, including educational visits, enrichmentactivities and school events where required.
