Operating out of a state-of-the-art facility backed by a leading global manufacturer, this role involves managing everything from deep-level mechanical overhauls to intricate system diagnostics across a modern lineup. The employer offers fully supported factory training, elite workshop equipment, and strong overall compensation.

  • Salary Range: £35,000 - £45,000 basic per annum (DOE) + productivity efficiency scheme (An active MOT Tester licence is a strong asset and secures a higher initial pay band!)

Core Responsibilities
  • Undertake major mechanical repairs, including engine overhauls, gearbox replacements, timing chains/belts, and clutch assemblies
  • Utilize manufacturer diagnostic equipment to evaluate and rectify complex software, mechanical, and electrical faults
  • Complete routine servicing, multi-point vehicle health checks (VHC), and warranty inspections to manufacturer standards
  • Document clear technical updates on digital job cards and liaise effectively with front-of-house service staff
  • Maintain bay organization, tool care, and strict compliance with health and safety protocols
Candidate Profile
  • Technical Proficiency: Proven background in heavy mechanical repairs alongside confident diagnostic problem-solving
  • Qualifications: Level 3 NVQ / IMI in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent time-served credential)
  • MOT Status: Active MOT Tester accreditation is desirable for higher initial pay, but is not essential to apply
  • Mindset: Quality-focused individual committed to first-time fixes and tidy working habits
  • Requirements: Full UK Driving Licence
