Devops Engineer

DevOps Engineer - Contract (6 Months) Hybrid, UK

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join on a 6-month contract basis. This role will involve managing, securing, and continuously improving IT application CI/CD pipelines with strong security measures. You will be hands-on across a wide range of DevOps tools and technologies, supporting automation, delivery, and release processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive and implement CI/CD pipelines and automation testing.
• Ensure secure and efficient software delivery processes.
• Collaborate within Agile/DevOps teams to improve operations and workflows.
• Troubleshoot build and release issues, ensuring high reliability and performance.
• Support the adoption of automation, monitoring, and best practices across environments.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong expertise in CI/CD automation.
• Proficiency with tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform.
• Experience with version control and monitoring tools (e.g. Git, Grafana).
• Solid knowledge of Unix/Linux environments and shell scripting.
• Exposure to Azure cloud services.

Desirable Skills

• Experience in the Power Transmission & Distribution domain (advantageous but not required).

• Duration: 6 months (contract)
• Location: UK, hybrid (on-site days dependent on customer/project needs)
• Rate: Market rate
