Fincons is looking for a Data Scientist

with strong hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure ecosystem, particularly with Azure Fabric, Power BI, and AI/ML integration to support the enhancement of existing systems and APIs through intelligent solutions.

Technical Skills

Cloud and Platform Expertise

• Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including:
• Azure Machine Learning
• Azure Data Factory
• Azure Synapse Analytics
• Azure Data Lake Storage
• Azure Databricks (nice to have)
• Practical knowledge of Microsoft Fabric for data engineering and analytics scenarios.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, including pipelines and automated deployment.

Data Science & AI

• Solid practical experience in machine learning model development and deployment, including:
• Supervised and unsupervised learning
• Feature engineering and model evaluation
• Experience with model integration into production systems/APIs
• Strong Python programming skills, including:
• Use of libraries like pandas, scikit-learn, numpy, matplotlib, TensorFlow or PyTorch (at least one)
• Understanding of MLOps principles and lifecycle in Azure ML.

Data Integration & Engineering

• Ability to connect and transform data from multiple sources using Azure services and APIs.
• Experience working with structured and semi-structured data (SQL, JSON, XML).
• Familiarity with data pipeline orchestration, performance tuning, and error handling.

Power BI & Visualization

• Proficiency in Power BI, including:
• Building dynamic dashboards
• DAX expressions
• DirectQuery vs Import models
• Gateway setup and refresh optimization
• Ability to translate analytical insights into business-friendly visualizations.

Additional Skills (Nice to Have)

• Experience with OpenAI/ChatGPT or Azure OpenAI Services.
• Knowledge of API architecture, RESTful APIs, and integrating AI models into API workflows.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Microsoft certifications (e.g., Azure Data Scientist Associate, Power BI Data Analyst Associate).

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving mindset and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and within cross-functional Agile teams.
• Clear communicator, capable of explaining complex models to non-technical stakeholders.
• Attention to performance, scalability, and maintainability of AI-enhanced systems.
