D365 Business Central Developer (SaaS) - Fully Remote - Outside IR35

We are supporting a client delivering enhancements and ongoing development within a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central SaaS environment.

We are looking for a hands-on D365 Business Central Developer with strong experience in modern BC SaaS architecture, extension development, and integrations. This role does not require NAV experience - the focus is on cloud-native Business Central development.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Business Central SaaS solutions using AL and extension-based architecture.
• Build and maintain custom extensions, ensuring solutions are scalable and upgrade-safe.
• Develop and maintain API integrations with external systems (eg WMS, finance platforms, third-party SaaS tools).
• Work with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Develop and customise reports and document layouts (RDLC/Word).
• Support testing, UAT, and deployment activities.
• Ensure code quality and best practices using source control and DevOps pipelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a SaaS environment.

Experience (Must Have)

• Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Dynamics 365 Business Central (SaaS)
  • AL development and extension architecture
• Proven experience building extensions (PTE/AppSource)
• Experience with:
  • API development and integrations
  • Visual Studio Code and Azure DevOps
• Solid understanding of Business Central data structures and event-driven development
• Experience working in a cloud/SaaS environment
• Comfortable working in a fully remote, contract setting
